About
Siga Damu Inc’s vision is to be a self-reliant, paradigm shifting, iTaukei-owned business, which creates its own opportunities, grows the well-being of its community, and meets the obligations of our Vanua, Lotu and Matanitu.
Built by Communities, for Communities
Siga Damu was created through a partnership between the communities of Dreketi, Sasa, Macuata, Mali, and Nadogo, together with Matanataki and WWF-Fiji. Owned by local cooperatives, it empowers traditional fishing-rights holders and landowners to lead sustainable economic growth.
Built on community collaboration, trusted governance, and careful planning, Siga Damu strengthens livelihoods while protecting the Vanua—its land, sea, and people—for future generations.
Local ownership at the center - working together across communities and sectors to plan for a stronger future
